When replacing parts it is worth checking the drum's inner diameter against the wear limit before fitting new shoes, so braking action is even. Also keep the model year in mind: the rear wheel cylinders grew from 3/4" to 7/8" from model year 1966 (chassis #16500), which matters when drum, cylinder and shoes need to fit together.
