Volvo 850 Electrical equipment

A broken wiper motor, a turn signal that's gone dark, or an ignition coil causing rough running – electrical faults on a 850 often settle in the same spots. Every 850 runs 12V negative ground with a transverse 5-cylinder engine, so troubleshooting starts from fuses, contacts and wiring rather than an old 6V architecture. Documented trouble spots include the ABS valve wiring, where certain chassis numbers are especially affected.
