Volvo 740/760/780 Engine throttle linkage
A stiff or binding throttle wire is clearly noticeable on the B200 and B230 motors: the gas pedal gives uneven response and the spring load on the throttle arm returns poorly. Wires that begin to fray in the sleeve are a classic wear point, and on carburetor or early injection cars the cold start also depends on a properly working choke control.
