Volvo Amazon Brake system
Rusty brake pipes, leaking wheel cylinders and a sluggish brake servo are classic wear points on the 122, and which parts fit is governed by model year. Front disc brakes appeared on the 122S from August 1961 and spread across the range by 1964, while the rear axle kept drums all the way. Early cars have single-circuit brakes where the smallest leak knocks out the entire system, while 1968–1970 got dual-circuit systems. That determines whether you're looking for splash guards and disc brakes or drum brake parts.
