Rusty brake pipes, a sluggish hand brake and a master brake cylinder that starts to pull the pedal down are classic wear points on the 940 and 960. All variants in the series have disc brakes all around – no drums as service brake – so the work centers on calipers, discs, hoses and hydraulics. When renovating the front brake, slide pins, sleeve kits and splash guards are typical check points, while the hand brake often needs a new cable and adjusting screw. Choose the right subgroup below:
