Volvo 140/164 Engine parts
Which engine is in the car determines almost everything during an engine rebuild. The four-cylinder B18 (1.8 L OHV) and B20 (2.0 L OHV) differ in displacement and carburetor setup, while the 164's inline-six B30 is a completely different engine family with its own Cover, its own gaskets and its own mountings. The B20 replaced the B18 from 1968, so model year and engine code determine fit on everything from the Valve casing to the Oil pump.
