Fuel tank for Volvo 140, 164, 1967-73
Volvo 140, 164
Rough idle, poor cold starting and black-smoking exhaust usually begin in the fuel supply – a worn Stromberg CD 175, a clogged carburetor needle or an air filter that's never been changed. On the 140 series the engine variant matters a lot: B18A/B20A run a single carburetor while B18B/B20B have twin carburettors, and on the 164 the inline-six B30 sits with its own arrangement. This hub leads on to the sub-groups that belong together when the whole chain from tank to tailpipe needs going through.
