Warped or rusty rear brake discs cause a pulsating pedal and uneven braking – a classic wear issue on the 1800 with B20. From MY1969 (chassis #28300) the dual-circuit system arrived, and the 1970 1800E became the first 1800 with disc brakes all around, which means the rear parts differ from the earlier drum-brake cars.

This group includes brake discs, brake calipers and brake pad kits, plus splash guard, repair kits, screw, rubber cap and grease for installation. During a rear brake overhaul, the caliper pistons and dust boots are typical inspection points – sticking pistons cause uneven pads and hot discs. Use the correct brake grease on guide surfaces and check that the disc thickness is within the wear limit before fitting new pads.
