The group includes brake drums, brake hoses, repair kits and mounting kits, plus springs, thrust pins, rubber caps, a locking pin and grease for installation. When renovating the rear brake, the wheel cylinder seals, the resilience of the return springs and the inside of the hoses are typical inspection points – a sluggish thrust pin or brittle rubber cap often causes uneven braking long before anything starts to leak visibly.
Keep in mind that Volvo enlarged the rear wheel cylinders from 3/4" to 7/8" on the 1966 model, so always measure existing parts against the correct version before ordering kits for the rear axle.
