Brake pipe set for Volvo 140 1971 - early 1973, VST

Rusty longitudinal brake pipes and cracked brake hoses are classic finds when a 140 from 1967-70 goes up on the lift – the damage often sits where the pipes run unprotected along the base plate and at the mountings to the rear axle. Because the 140 series was built with a dual-circuit brake system and front disc brakes right from the start, tight and correctly routed lines are essential for both circuits to hold pressure.

This group includes brake pipes, brake hose, retainers, clamps, screws and nuts, plus plastilube and grease for fitting. When replacing, it pays to check the clamps and retainers at the same time – a loose pipe rubs and corrodes faster. Plastilube on threads and hose mountings makes both fitting and future service easier.
