Brake pipe set for Volvo 140 1971 - early 1973, VST

Rusty brake pipes along the floor members and at the rear axle are a classic wear point on the 140 cars, and cracked rubber hoses give a spongy pedal and uneven braking. This category gathers line parts and mounting hardware for the Volvo 140 with B20A/B from 1971–74, where the dual-circuit brake demands tight, intact circuits front and rear.

The group includes brake pipes in fixed lengths, bendable brake hoses, clamps and retainers for routing along the body and axle, plus screws, nuts, grease and plastilube for installation. When replacing the master brake cylinder or rebuilding a whole circuit, it is common to renew the pipes and hoses at the same time, since old connections easily break when being disconnected.
Bear in mind that brake hoses are consumables that dry out and crack internally – a blocked hose can lock or drag a wheel without the pipe looking bad on the outside.
