The group includes a gear lever gaiter that seals against dirt and oil mist, a gear shift lever knob in classic design, plus bushings that remove the side play in the lever. There is also a gearbox mount that dampens vibrations, plus screw, nut, spring washer and tag washer to fasten everything securely during restoration.
A typical check point is that a crack in the gaiter lets grit into the mechanism and makes shifting stiffer – replace it at the same time as you refresh the bushings and mounting bolts.
