Brake shoe set for Volvo PV, Duett
PV544, Duett 210
- Year:
- 1958-1968
Scraping noises when braking, a grooved brake drum or weak return springs that no longer pull the brake shoes back – these are classic wear points on the rear brake of a 210 with a B18. This involves rear drum brakes, so the rebuild is about shoe contact, spring tension and the drum's inner diameter rather than brake discs.

This category gathers the parts belonging to the rear axle drum brake on the 210 with the B18 motor (1962–68). The selection includes brake drums, return springs and springs, guide washers, thrust pin and rubber cap, plus complete mounting kits and grease for lubricating the sliding surfaces during assembly.
When rebuilding the rear brake it is worth measuring the drum's wear surface, replacing the return springs in pairs and lightly greasing the contact points with the correct grease so the shoes move freely. A mounting kit gives you the small springs and washers that are otherwise hard to source individually.
