This group includes camshaft kits, inlet valves and exhaust valves, valve guides, push rods plus cam gear sets and thrust flanges – sub-families that belong together once the cylinder head is opened. Shims for clearance adjustment are included to set the valve clearance correctly after a new valve and guide.
Measure the camshaft lobe height and check the lifters' wear surface before choosing a new camshaft kit – a worn cam gives sluggish throttle response and an uneven idle. Combining the camshaft with a matching cam gear and thrust flange keeps the valve timing correct across the entire rev range.
