The group includes the main bearing set and rod bearings for supporting the crankshaft, the piston set and piston ring set for the cylinders (88.9 mm bore), plus the cam gear set for the valve train. Also gathered here are the seal, protecting plate and screw that belong to the disassembly and reassembly itself.
A typical inspection point during a rebuild is to measure crank pin wear and select bearings in the correct undersize before new shells are fitted – this determines whether the crankshaft can be reused or needs to be ground. The parts cover late B20 engines from 1974 onward.
