Volvo Amazon Propeller shaft
Vibrations at speed or a dull clunk under acceleration usually point to a worn universal joint or a tired centre bearing in the middle of the shaft. Since the B18 (1,778 cc) and the 12-volt system arrived in August 1961 and the B20 took over for the final model years from August 1968, lengths and mountings differ between the years – which is why the propeller shaft is divided by engine and model year.
