This group includes the wear parts and seals that come up during an overhaul: gaskets for flanges and caps, the float, jets, springs, bushings as well as screws, nuts and washers. During a rebuild a common point to check is loose shutter shafts and bushings – false air there causes a high, unstable idle that no amount of adjustment can cure. Also replace the float and needle valve if the fuel level wanders, and renew all gaskets at the same time so the flange against the intake seals tight.
