Rusty freeze plugs that start to weep into the coolant and dried-out block gaskets are classic checkpoints when a B18 needs sealing and freshening up. The 1,778 cc four (84.14 x 80 mm) arrived in August 1961 and stands up to a lot of driving, but after decades it's often the sealing surfaces, threads and cooling passages that need attention.

This group includes gasket sets and soot cleaning kits to seal the block and head, freeze plugs for the cooling passages, screws and nuts for mountings, hose and retainers, plus engine enamel to restore the block's surface finish after a rebuild.
On a block job the condition of the freeze plugs deserves extra attention – a weeping plug causes creeping coolant loss and overheating. It's a good idea to replace them all at once while the block is accessible and cleaned out anyway.
