Warped or rust-damaged brake discs and worn pads are the most common reasons the front brakes on a B18 122 need attention. Front disc brakes appeared on the 90-horsepower 122S from August 1961 and then spread across the range up to 1964 – and these early cars often run a single-circuit system, which means a hydraulic leak affects the entire braking action. That is why the condition of the front parts is especially critical here.
