The group includes the exhaust pipe, clamps and anchorages for the suspension, brackets that carry the system against the base plate, plus gaskets for the flange joints. There are also flange screws, hexagon screws and washers – small but important parts, since corroded fasteners often should be replaced at the same time so a new joint can be tightened properly.
A common check point during replacement is that the rubber suspension mounts have not cracked; slack anchorages load the pipe joints and can point to the onset of crack formation. Also check the gaskets' contact surfaces before fitting so that no exhaust leakage occurs.
