Ignition System Volvo 240 (B20F)

A rough idle, misfires in damp weather or a sluggish cold start often begin on the ignition side. The distributor cap and rotor arm are classic wear points – cracked caps, burnt contacts and an oxidized carbon brush cause spark flashover and broken combustion, especially on a B20F that has covered many miles.
