Volvo 140/164 Horn

A horn that goes silent or sounds weak is often caused by corroded contacts, poor ground or a worn-out horn rather than the wiring. On the 140 and 164 the horns are in 12-volt systems, and both the mounting and connection differ between model and model year – which is why the selection is divided so the right horn and contact components end up on the right car.
