Fuel tank Volvo PV B18 (1962-66)

Rust in the tank bottom, cracking rubber hoses and a fuel gauge that reads incorrectly are among the most common problems on the 544 with B18 between 1962 and 1966. When the original combined tank unit dries out and the float's resistance drifts, the reading becomes unreliable, and porous joints start to smell of gas in the trunk.

This category gathers tank-related parts for these model years. The group includes fuel hose, fuel cap, combined tank unit with sensor, gaskets, plus screw, clamp, nipple and hose clamp to seal mountings and hose routing. During a restoration, the gasket against the unit flange and the hose clamps are typical checkpoints – an aged rubber gasket tends to leak when the tank is filled completely.

The parts are gathered for the B18 cars with a 5-bearing crank and 12-volt system, so that the design and connections match the period when the 544 had switched over to the B18.
