Low oil pressure, knocking from the connecting rod bearings or high oil consumption are classic signs of a worn crank assembly in a B18. The 1778cc five-bearing engine fitted from 1961/62 in the 544 and the 210/445 can take a lot, but main bearings, rod bearings and piston rings are wear parts during a thorough rebuild.
