The range includes gaskets for a dry engine, valve cover gasket sets and complete valve covers (also in chrome finish), freeze plugs as well as fasteners such as studs, screws and washers. A common check during the job is to replace the freeze plugs while the cylinder head is off anyway – they corrode from the inside and start leaking coolant long before it shows on the outside. Just as important is that the sealing surface against the valve cover is clean and flat so the new cover set seals.
