Damp oil traces around the hose connections and a radiator hose that has hardened and is cracking at the bend are classic checkpoints on the 1778cc B18 in the 544 and 445. Under hard driving and hot weather the oil cooler helps keep the temperature down, and that's when it's often the soft parts – O-rings and seal rings – that have stiffened over the years and start to weep.

While you have the connections apart, it's worth replacing all the seals in one go – they're cheap parts compared with going back in for a dripping coupling.
