Volvo PV/Duett Horn

A silent or buzzing horn is most often caused by the wrong supply voltage or an oxidized ground point – and on the 544/445 the voltage is the first thing to check. The cars came in different versions with both 6-volt and 12-volt systems, and the electrical system can differ between model years – check which version your car has. A 6V horn on 12 volts burns out, and a 12V horn on 6 volts honks weakly, so the choice is governed entirely by the electrical system in your car.
