Exhaust system Volvo 240 (B20A) (1976-)
Rusted-through tailpipes, leaking welded joints and mufflers rattling against the floor panel are the most common reasons the exhaust system on an early 240 needs to be renovated. Condensation that collects in the mufflers makes them rust from the inside out, so the mufflers are usually the first to give up.
