Dropping oil pressure, a discolored dipstick or oil mist around the block are classic signs that the lubricating system on a B19 needs attention. Tired gaskets and corroded lines tend to leak during warm running, and a worn oil pump can't hold pressure at idle.

This category gathers the parts that keep oil circulation healthy on the B19 engine in the Volvo 240/260. The group includes the oil pump, oil filter, lines and pressure line, gaskets, grommet, screw and dipstick – components that together govern flow, pressure and sealing from the sump to the bearings.
During a rebuild it's worth checking the pressure line mounts and the pump's gear backlash at the same time as the gaskets are replaced; a leaking grommet or an old gasket often causes an oil pressure problem that would otherwise easily be misread as pump failure. Replacing the oil filter and sealing the lines in one go saves both oil and troubleshooting time.
