Volvo 140/164 Exhaust system
Rusted-through mufflers, a cracked downpipe and tired exhaust clamps are among the most common jobs on a 140 or 164. Which parts fit is governed by engine and model year – the B18/B20 in the four-cylinder 140 and the straight-six B30 in the 164 have different pipe lengths and mountings, and the fuel-injected B20E/F and B30E/F differ from the carburetor versions. Exhaust gas recirculation (MRA) on later B20F and B30E/F uses its own branches with specific components.
