Exhaust system for Volvo 140, 1970-73, B20E

Rust breakthrough at the welded seams and cracked mounting rubbers cause the exhaust noise to rise and the pipes to hang crooked against the body and rear axle. On the 140 with the fuel-injected B20E a shorter manifold version is often fitted, so checking the flange fit before installing a new intermediate pipe saves both time and gaskets.

The group includes the exhaust pipe and intermediate pipe plus rubber rings for the mounting and clamps, nuts, screw and washers for the joints and brackets. A small knob for the mounting is also available. When going through the system, the rubber rings and clamp connections are the typical check points – dry, hard rubbers let the pipes drop and cause rattling, while rusty clamps can rarely be tightened up tight again.
The parts are gathered for the 1970–73 model years with the B20E, so that the pipe dimensions and mounting points match the chassis.
