Oil leakage at the valve casing, a seeping oil pan, or dropping compression after miles on the B20 can point to a tired gasket. The OHV-built B20 (2.0 l, from 1968) lasts a long time, but rubber and cork harden and the cylinder head gasket settles after heat cycles – the flatness of the head and block should then be checked, and the correct tightening torque is just as important as the part itself.
