Rusted-through mounting brackets and seized bolts behind the bumper are a common inspection point on a 140 that has been left outdoors. When the mounting has darkened or started to work loose, the bumper easily comes free at one end, and at that point it is the fasteners rather than the bumper itself that need attention.
