Throttle control linkage Volvo B14A (Duett 445)

Play in the linkage or an accelerator pedal that hangs up past half throttle are classic wear points on the single-carburetor B14A in the 445. Over the years the grommets dry out and the ball joints wear, which causes dead travel and an uneven shutter opening that is most noticeable during fine control at low revs.

This category gathers the parts that keep the throttle control mechanically healthy. The group includes ball joints, washers and cotter pins in the joint, grommets and grommet kits at the cowl wall, the coupling, the screw and the accelerator pedal. During an overhaul it is worth checking that the ball joints sit without play and that the grommet seals tightly – a binding control is often due to dry joints rather than the carburetor itself. Since the fitment follows the B14A configuration in the 445, the engine and chassis details should be verified before parts are selected.
