An oil film around the valve cover or leakage along the sealing surfaces are classic wear points on the B14A engine (1414cc, 51 bhp with a single Zenith or 70 bhp in twin SU form). Dry, hardened gaskets lose their ability to stay sealed and should be checked when the engine is rebuilt or needs to be re-sealed.
