A leaking valve cover gasket, oil mist along the block, or a freeze plug starting to weep – these are classic signs that the cylinder head on a B20E/F needs attention. When the B20 replaced the B18 from August 1968, the engine stayed on in the 122 through the final model years, and the cylinder head is a rewarding place to seal up during a rebuild.

This group includes gaskets, valve cover and valve cover set, freeze plugs, studs and screws, plus hose. There are also chromed valve covers for anyone who wants to smarten up the engine bay. The parts cover what is often replaced at the same time: a new valve cover gasket, fresh freeze plugs and the correct studs let the mating surface seal again without oil leaks.
During a cylinder head job, flatness, the valve cover sealing surface and the condition of the freeze plugs are typical checkpoints – dry surfaces here save both oil and coolant.
