Important installation information
The gasket must be installed dry, without additional sealant or adhesive. Cometic MLS gaskets already have a thin Viton rubber coating on the outer steel layers. Additional sealant can interfere with the function of the gasket.
Both the cylinder head and engine block must be completely flat. The sealing surfaces must also be clean and in good condition.
Good to know
Check the sealing surfaces of the cylinder head and engine block carefully before installation. Follow the correct tightening torque and tightening sequence for the cylinder head bolts.
