A weak spark, rough idle and sluggish cold starts often come down to tired spark plugs, a cracked ignition cable set or an ignition coil that has lost its punch. On the B16A (60 bhp, single carburetor) and the twin-carburetor B16B (85 bhp), these are classic wear points worth going through together when the engine runs rough.

This group includes spark plugs, ignition cable set, ignition coil, seal, spring washer, screw, grease and decal set – part families that cover both routine service and a more thorough overhaul of the ignition.
An important thing to check on the B16 cars is the voltage: they were built with 6-volt systems until the switch to 12 volts in August 1961. That determines which ignition coil fits, so check the car's electrical system before replacing the coil. While doing the job, it is also worth cleaning corroded contacts and tightening loose connections at the same time as you change the plugs.
