Crankshaft Volvo B230
Increased oil consumption, blue-tinged exhaust or a dull bottom-end knock under load are classic signs of a worn crank assembly in a B230. When the engine is rebuilt at the bottom end, these are the parts that control compression, oil control and bearing clearance in the four-cylinder OHC motor of 1,986 and 2,316 cc respectively, with or without turbo.
