Since the entire 700/900 series has disc brakes all around, all brake pressure passes through these pipes, and a pitted edge or leaking connection is felt immediately as a spongy pedal.

The group includes brake pipes in various lengths and routings, pipe connections and joint nipples to link up with the hose and cylinder, plus serrated washers, fasteners, clamps and anchorages that hold the pipe steady against the body. Rubber bushings are included to dampen vibration where the pipe is mounted.
When replacing, it is worth checking the threads of the nipples and bleeding in the correct order afterwards – a new pipe is no help if an old connection still lets air through.
