Fuel Pump Volvo 240 F/FD/FX (1978-) Injection
A weak start, rough idle under load, or a humming noise from the rear can point to a tired fuel pump on the 240 with injection. The pump and its connections are a common check point when pressure does not build up as it should, and aged copper washers at the hollow screws are often a cause of leaks that should be checked at replacement.
