Installation and information:
On Volvo 240 from 1985 and 700 and 900 series, the fuel pump is connected to the filter with plastic pipe part number 1312297
The union nut on the plastic pipe fits directly onto the threaded nipple pre-mounted on the pump
The plastic pipe is often damaged during removal, which means many vehicles have non-original solutions
For safety reasons it is recommended to restore the original setup using fuel pipe 1312297
Fits pumps with Bosch end numbers 039 and 068
Note:
Compare the article number with your old pump to ensure the original pump is marked 025 039 or 068
Not suitable for K-jetronic mechanical injection as the pump provides too low pressure
If the fuel pump makes excessive noise it is not necessarily defective
It is common that the in-tank pre-supply pump is faulty
The main pump is then forced to work harder and pull fuel through the defective pump, causing loud noise
If this has been ongoing for a long time, both the main pump and the in-tank pump should be replaced
