Pressure accumulator for Volvo 240, 740, 940, 1975-91

Weak starts, rough running under load or a dropping supply pressure are classic signs of a tired fuel pump in the injected 240/260 models from 1977. On the injection cars the pump works against a higher and more even pressure than on the carburetor versions, which means worn bearings and aged seals show up clearly in the way the car drives.

This group includes fuel pumps together with the surrounding parts needed for a replacement: hose, clamp, nipple, fitting nut, rubber cap, lock washer and a complete mounting kit. When replacing a pump it is worth checking the supply hoses and clamps at the same time - cracking in the rubber and corroded nipples cause air leaks and pressure loss that are easily mistaken for a faulty pump. The rubber cap and lock washer secure the connections against vibration and leakage. If the pump gets no voltage the fault may just as well lie in the fuel relay, so check the supply before condemning the pump.
The parts in this category are gathered for the injected B21/B23 engines in the 240/260 series from 1977 onwards.
