Cracked fuel hoses, a clogged filter and rough running during hot starts are common checkpoints on the D-Jetronic-fed B30E in late 164 models. After hoses and pipes have dried out over many years, leaks and pressure loss can disrupt the injection, so the entire supply from tank to nozzle is worth going through.
