Turn signal lever for Volvo 140, 164, -1972

A loose switch, an impulse unit that has stopped flashing, or a relay that won't engage are classic electrical faults on the 164's control panel. Since the entire series runs on a 12-volt system, it's often oxidised contact pins and tired springs in the knobs – not the voltage – behind dead bulbs and erratic operation. This category gathers the parts to fix exactly that on the 1967-72 model years.

The group includes switches and knobs for the panel, relays and impulse units, bulbs for the instruments and controls, plus caps, screws and nuts for assembly. When troubleshooting a dead circuit, it's worth starting by cleaning or replacing the switch and checking the impulse unit before suspecting the wiring. Note that the 164's instrument panel was updated in 1973 to the 240-series design – the parts here refer to the earlier panel.
