Mounting Generator Volvo Amazon (B16)
A voltage regulator that won't engage or a generator that won't charge are classic faults on the early 122 cars with the 6-volt system. Before the B18 and 12-volt arrived in August 1961, the B16 engine was paired with a DC generator, and both the relay and its mounting are common checkpoints when the charging falters.
