The group includes rubber seals and trunk rubber seal for sealing against the body, an emblem for the tailgate, plus mounting hardware such as screws, nuts, washers, wave washers and lock washers. Keep in mind that the rubber often hardens and shrinks over the years – if you replace the seal but reuse old, cracked sealing, moisture will keep finding its way in and build new rust from underneath. When refitting, fresh washers and lock washers are cheap insurance against play and against threads loosening from vibration.
The parts are grouped by function so that sealing, emblem and mounting hardware stay together when the entire rear section is to be put back.
