For the surface finish, weld primer, primer and auto body sealer are gathered here so the new panel is protected right after fitting. The families cover both visible areas and hidden reinforcements.
A good tip when restoring: clear out all the old rust within the attachment point before you test-fit the sand plate, apply weld primer to clean edges and seal thoroughly – otherwise corrosion will start again behind the new panel. Measure against the car, since the 4-door and Estate differ at the rear section.
