Valve mechanism Volvo B230 (not K)

The group includes inlet valves and exhaust valves, valve guides and valve seats, valve adjustment shims and valve spring washers as well as studs and belt guards. During a cylinder head rebuild, the valve clearance is a typical checkpoint – with the right adjustment shim the clearance is set without having to gauge the shims by guesswork, and new guides and seats restore the seal between valve and seat. The exhaust valves are the most exposed to heat and often want replacing together with the guides.
