Oil leaks at the cylinder heads, camshaft wear and a tired timing chain are classic reasons to start tearing down a B280 – the 2,849 cc V6 with overhead camshafts fitted in the 760 and 780. Since the engine has two separate cylinder heads, many parts are doubled up, so it pays to distinguish between the left and right bank when ordering.
